Cotopaxi
At 5,897 metres, Cotopaxi is one of the world's highest active volcanoes and Ecuador's most iconic silhouette. The park around it is something else entirely: a high-altitude grassland where the geology is still unresolved and the sky feels borrowed from another planet.
